Traditional & Functional Blood Testing

We offer two complementary approaches to bloodwork — traditional diagnostic testing focused on identifying disease and abnormality, and functional testing that evaluates optimal health ranges, nutritional status, and underlying imbalances.

Traditional Testing

Standard diagnostic blood panels ordered by physicians and used by insurers, employers, and healthcare providers to identify disease, monitor chronic conditions, and establish baseline health markers.

Complete Blood Count (CBC)

Evaluates red and white blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and platelets. Used to screen for anemia, infection, immune disorders, and blood cancers.

Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)

Assesses kidney function, liver function, electrolytes, blood glucose, and protein levels. Standard screening for metabolic disorders and organ health.

Lipid Panel

Measures total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides. Used to assess cardiovascular risk and guide treatment decisions.

Thyroid Panel (TSH, T3, T4)

Evaluates thyroid gland function. Used to diagnose hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and monitor thyroid medication.

Hemoglobin A1C

Measures average blood sugar over 2–3 months. Used to diagnose and monitor diabetes and prediabetes.

Basic Metabolic Panel (BMP)

Screens kidney function, electrolytes, and blood glucose. Commonly ordered for routine checkups and emergency evaluations.

Functional Testing

Functional blood panels go beyond standard reference ranges to evaluate optimal physiological function, nutritional status, hormonal balance, and systemic inflammation — supporting a root-cause approach to health.

Comprehensive Hormone Panel

Evaluates estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, cortisol, and other hormones. Used for hormone optimization, menopause management, and adrenal health assessment.

Micronutrient & Vitamin Panel

Assesses levels of vitamins B12, D, folate, iron, magnesium, zinc, and other essential nutrients. Identifies deficiencies contributing to fatigue, cognitive decline, and immune dysfunction.

Inflammatory Markers (CRP, ESR, Homocysteine)

Measures systemic inflammation and cardiovascular risk markers. Elevated levels are associated with chronic disease, autoimmune conditions, and metabolic dysfunction.

Advanced Thyroid Panel

Includes TSH, Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3, and thyroid antibodies (TPO, TgAb). Provides a complete picture of thyroid function beyond standard TSH screening.

Insulin & Metabolic Resistance Panel

Evaluates fasting insulin, glucose, and insulin resistance markers. Identifies metabolic dysfunction before it progresses to diabetes or cardiovascular disease.

Adrenal & Stress Hormone Panel

Assesses cortisol rhythm, DHEA-S, and adrenal function. Used to evaluate chronic stress response, fatigue, sleep disruption, and adrenal insufficiency.
